About chronos

Three Decades.

Three Paradigms.

One Mission.

Three Decades.
Three Paradigms.
One Mission.

To improve recovery outcomes for people with chronic conditions, by delivering multi-dimensional, multi-system therapies that are effective, safe & accessible virtually, without compromising clinical depth or results.

To work with people who refuse to give up on their health or themselves, no matter how long symptoms have persisted - even after being dismissed, disappointed, or told “learn to live with it.”

To ensure no one remains trapped in chronic pain, persistent symptoms and health conditions due to fragmented or ineffective medical care.

Recovery-Focused Virtual Care

Chronos was built to solve a serious problem I witnessed every day in clinical and hospital practice - too many people with chronic symptoms falling through the cracks of conventional care. They wait months for appointments, are passed between specialists and locations, receive conflicting advice, or are prescribed medications that mask symptoms without addressing their underlying causes. Over time, care becomes fragmented, conditions may deteriorate, and patients are often left to cope alone.

The gap between standard medical care and the advances in functional medicine and pain neuroscience inspired the Chronos mission: to make effective, integrated care more accessible. The Chronos systems-based model is designed to support relief, recovery and remission across a wide range of chronic conditions. It is particularly well suited to online delivery, enabling me to provide you with comprehensive, personalised support wherever you are in the world.

I’m Jarvia Foxter, Osteopath, Functional Integrative Specialist and Founder of Chronos. With over three decades of dual clinical experience across hospital, clinical, and virtual practice, I fuse precision diagnostics with structural and systems-based approaches that help clients achieve their optimal recovery potential.

I provide targeted physical treatments (e.g. Osteopathy, Acupuncture), mind-body therapies  (e.g. Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Nutritional Ketogenic Therapy), rehabilitation and coaching - creating measurable change, accelerating recovery and optimising health. This integrated approach enables me to treat acute and chronic pain, injuries, systemic health conditions, and problems affecting movement, biomechanics, fitness, and lifestyle. My London practice was voted Best for Back Pain by Londoners in Time Out’s Best of the City Awards.

I qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Liverpool (1998) and later as an Osteopath with First Class Distinction from the British School of Osteopathy, London (2008). My hospital experience (adult & pediatric) spans diagnostic & interventional radiology, emergency & trauma, surgery, specialist clinics, pain medicine, critical care and forensic imaging.

My Journey
From Scans to Solutions

Scan & Fix Era

Beginning as a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiographer across the full spectrum of hospital care, including ER, surgery, outpatients, critical care and post-mortum imaging, I trusted the medical model: scan the problem, see the problem, then fix it with medication or surgery. It seemed logical and complete.

After working with hundreds of thousands of people, reviewing their scans, and assisting in thousands of surgical and pain procedures across London's premium private clinics & major trauma teaching hospitals, one truth became undeniable: scans and surgery did not always explain or resolve chronic pain.

Severe structural findings frequently presented without symptoms, while technically flawless operations often left patients in persistent pain. That disconnect didn’t shake my faith in medicine, it redirected my curiosity.

If the structural model couldn’t always explain or resolve chronic pain or persistent health dysfunction, was something fundamental missing in how we understood chronic problems?

Mind-Body Era

Years of Buddhist study with Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, alongside intensive Vipassana meditation and competitive sports, gave me a visceral understanding of how mindset, emotions, movement, diet, sleep, life events and daily habits shape our health, pain, illness, performance and recovery - factors often overlooked by Western medicine.

Driven to understand the mechanisms behind these connections, I pursued functional and mind-body medicine, becoming an Osteopath, Medical Acupuncturist, and Rehabilitator. Over the following two decades, I immersed myself in continuous study, completing fifteen distinct postgraduate trainings
to refine my ability to treat the whole person.

My central London clinic gained recognition for Back Pain, but those with chronic painMy central London clinic gained recognition for Back Pain, but those with chronic pain had unpredictable outcomes. The missing pieces emerged as my practice shifted more into systems-based therapies, e.g Pain Reprocessing, Metabolic and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Chronic pain and health problems are far more responsive when treated at this multi-dimensional, mulit-system level.

Virtual Care Era

The pandemic created an unexpected breakthrough.
In 2020, COVID forced my clinic online, a necessary pivot - tying my hands by removing every physical treatment I had relied on for 20 years. Working exclusively with systems, metabolic, neuroplastic, psychological and somatic approaches, I expected outcomes to suffer. They didn’t. Chronic patients in particular showed significant improvement, challenging my long-held assumptions about the necessity for structural physical treatments.

Then came a personal catalyst: hearing details of the shocking outdated medical advice and ineffective care my own family in rural areas were given for chronic pain, autoimmune, and metabolic conditions. That personal and clinical collision clarified my next mission: to build Chronos, a virtual clinic integrating three decades of diagnostics, functional medicine, pain neuroscience, and rehabilitation into one recovery system - accessible to anyone, anywhere who intuits the body's capacity to heal given the right conditions, and is ready to act, with safe, practical interventions for tangible results.
